Einstein isn't the end of the line for physics, he is just more right about describing the nature of the universe than those who have come before him. Who's to say that someone in the next 50 years doesn't make a breakthrough that explains things better than Einstein or provides an end-around that makes FTL travel possible?

It took a while to go back and find it again but it is a special interview edition (so no episode number) from back on March 8th, 2006. They were talking about cellphones on a plane. Here is the link to the episode on Odeo: http://odeo.com/audio/856003/view

I agree that we aren't going to be seeing the Surface any time soon and I'm sure the first generation of devices are going to be a little awkward, but still. Like they were saying on the Totally Rad Show, the Surface is the future and it is cooler than we though. Maybe there are a lot of issues with it, maybe it will be a decade before these things are really a common household item, and maybe it won't even be Microsoft who perfects it, but I think this really is a step into a new way of thinking about computing and using computers and for that reason, it is cool. That is why it was so lame to see Kevin turn it into a big anti-Microsoft rant.
